DIY How to Make Non-Toxic Pine Cleaners
Be Ready For Spring Cleaning! The time to begin making your non-toxic cleaners is now - as they will take weeks to infuse. We use Ponderosa Pine for cleaners, rather than White Pine which is used medicinally. Ponderosa pine is easily differentiated by the cluster of three needles, as opposed to five in White Pine. Cleaning Base Infusion Ingredients: Ponderosa Pine needles, enough to fill jar (available through canyonbotanics.com ) White distilled vinegar Wood/Butcher Block Polish Base Oil Ingredients: Ponderosa Pine needles, enough to fill jar (available through canyonbotanics.com ) oil (mineral, canola, olive - your preference) Directions: 1. Cut the sheaths of off the ends of the needles, then cut the needles into one-inch lengths. Cutting the needles aids infusion. 2. Remove any brown needles 3. Fill jar with needles 4.
